Fulton welcomes

Fulton's second century of the match saw the hosts declare on 241 for six, after which the tourists slumped to 90 for four - and a large deficit of 391 - ahead of the final day of the series decider.Monday saw the 34-year-old Fulton become only the fourth New Zealander to score two centuries in the same Test, joining former batsmen Glenn Turner, Geoff Howarth and Andrew Jones  thanks to 136 in the first innings and 110 in the second.Cook, alongside the right-handed Jonathan Trott, had promised better on the back of a 58-run stand for the second wicket, but the skipper's fall to spinner Kane Williamson ultimately under-delivered. Nightwatchman Steven Finn, too, perished to Williamson. It feels a little bit surreal. It hasn't really sunk in yet. We're just focused on getting out there in the field and hoping we can get some wickets. We did a lot of hard work on Sunday, myself and Dean Brownlie getting through to stumps. I think the third wicket of Cook was a massive one, really. He has shown he can bat for a long time. To pick him up was crucial, and to grab the nightwatchman there at the end as well was a nice little bonus, said Fulton.
