Ponting rule out comebacks

Australia's ongoing troubles in India, where they face an insurmountable three-nil series deficit and potential whitewash ahead of the Friday's fourth Test, have been largely due to their lack of a formidable batting unit.I'm really looking forward to having a winter at home and just having some time with the family and being part of some normal life. I feel very lucky to have been able to leave on my own terms and leave when I wanted to.Ponting, named the country's state Player of the Year on the back of 875 runs at the impressive average of 87.50 this season, was adamant he will not avail himself for Test selection again.Former skipper Ricky Ponting and erstwhile middle-order batsman Michael Hussey have insisted they will not end their retirements from international cricket to play for Australia in the Ashes series. International cricket has long passed me by and I've just been really excited about giving back to Tasmanian cricket whatever I could for this season. The decision you make to retire when you do, is a very big one. I know I put a lot of time and thought into making the decision that I made for all the right reasons, said Ponting.
