Younis dropped

The middle order batsman had an average series against South Africa, and at 35 years of age seems to have become surplus to requirements and will not make the trip to England in June. Also not included was spinner Raza Hasan, who is building his way towards a comeback after a back injury late last year, while Abdul Razzak was also left on the sidelines.Pakistan's selectors decided to put fans out of their misery and announced their 30-man squad for the ICC Champions Trophy earlier than any other side, with the shock exclusion being that of batsman Younis Khan. Otherwise, it was the usual suspects on the list, including wicketkeeper Umar Akmal, who has recovered from the hand injury he suffered a few months ago. Also claiming a place was Shahid Afridi, whose spot is often a bone of contention for fans and players.
