CSA proud

2012 saw Amla amass the country's first Test triple-century, Steyn secure the helm of the bowlers' rankings and Kallis impress on the tour of England, earning them the accolade alongside Englishman Nick Compton and West Indian Marlon Samuels. This is the third time South Africa has produced three of the five Cricketers of the Year, after Graeme and Peter Pollock and Colin Bland in 1966 and Dale Benkenstein, Mark Boucher and Neil McKenzie in 2009.What a wonderful way for a South African celebration of the 150th edition of this famous publication - known affectionately as the 'cricketer's bible'," said acting CSA CEO Naasei Appiah.Cricket South Africa have expressed their pride in batsman Hashim Amla, all-rounder Jacques Kallis and fast bowler Dale Steyn, after the trio were included in among the prestigious Wisden Cricketer's Almanack five Cricketers of the Year. This recognition is richly deserved. This is a proudly South African moment that all South Africans can enjoy. It has truly been a phenomenal year for our Proteas and they have been and will continue to be an inspiration to the nation
