Shakib Al Hasan joins

         
    Shakib's record is exceptional and I am looking forward to him helping us to achieve success this year, said head coach Phil Whitticase.He has an excellent T20 record and I am looking forward to seeing him team up with Joe Burns.Shakib, who was recently a team-mate of Leicestershire's Josh Cobb in the Bangladesh Premier League, has scored a combined total of more than 4,000 runs and taken over 100 wickets for his country in international one-day and T20 matches.The Bangladesh star, who bats left-handed and bowls left-arm spin, is currently the world's top-ranked all-rounder in one-day internationals.He also has previous county experience with Worcestershire.The 26-year-old will join Australia A batsman Joe Burns at Grace Road.Chief executive Mike Siddall, who had been interested in signing West Indies star Chris Gayle, added: "We are delighted to sign a player of Shakib's experience and calibre.
