Chennai thrash Punjab

           
  Kings XI Punjab, Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians have lost two games each by ten wickets at the IPL.Only two players have managed 1,000 runs or more for Kings XI Punjab at the IPL - Shaun Marsh (1603) and Kumar Sangakkara (1009).Hussey and Vijay were involved in a stand of 139 (unbroken) - the highest partnership for any wicket at Mohali, eclipsing the 133 between Shaun Marsh and James Hopes for the first wicket for Punjab against Rajasthan on May 28, 2008. Chennai Super Kings have won seven, lost three and tied one out of eleven contested at the IPL - winning % 68.18.David Hussey has celebrated his 200th game in Twenty20 by top-scoring for his side. With 201 sixes, he has emulated Brendon McCullum's tally. Only two batsmen have recorded more sixes than David Hussey in Twenty20 - Chris Gayle (354) and Kieron Pollard (246).The aforesaid partnership is the highest for Chennai for any wicket against Punjab at the IPL - the fourth highest for any wicket for Chennai at the IPL. David Hussey has completed his 1000 runs at the IPL in 49 matches for Kolkata and Punjab - his aggregate being 1020 at an average of 26.84Dirk Nannes took his wickets tally to 213 (ave.21.60) in 178 matches - the second highest in Twenty20, next only to the 216 (ave.20.75) in 182 matches by Alfonso Thomas. During the course of his 41 off 26 balls, David Hussey has completed his 500 runs in 26 matches for Kings XI Punjab at the IPL - his tally being 509 at an average of 26.78.
