KKR v DD

Kolkata named Jacques Kallis, Eoin Morgan, Brett Lee and Sunil Narine as their four overseas players for the match, while Delhi went in with Mahela Jayawardene, the captain, David Warner, Andre Russell and Johan Botha.Delhi will miss Kevin Pietersen for the entire tournament after he suffered a knee injury, while Jesse Ryder who was brought into the team in exchange for Ross Taylor from Pune Warriors India, had to be hospitalised following an assault outside a bar in Christchurch last week. That aside, Virender Sehwag is also down with back spasms and Morne Morkel is unavailable at the moment because of his commitments in the South African domestic Twenty20 competition. After winning the toss, Gautam Gambhir, the Kolkata captain, said, "We will try and get early wickets. Hopefully, we can restrict them and chase the runs down. There’s hardly any dew. It looks a very good wicket. On Sehwag's absence, Jayawardene said Viru is injured, but it’s a good opportunity for others. We’ve got depth in our squad, we’ll try and utilise  that . Jayawardene, for his part, said he would have batted first had he won the toss, adding, It looks like a good wicket, and there are probably some runs in it. We had a great season last year and there are a few new faces this time around. We’ll try and gel and get the momentum up front this year.
