Finch upbeat despite struggles

Pune are languishing at the bottom of the table with a mere four points after 12 games but skipper Aaron Finch refused to be downcast.Despite a good effort by the batsmen, Pune went down to Rajasthan by five wickets last night in Jaipur as the bowlers continued to struggle. But Finch said there were still some positives to take from the defeat in Rajasthan's well-guarded fortress for they had taken the hosts to the last over of the game and had kept their own chances alive. The skipper himself was involved in a 97-run opening stand with Robin Uthappa that laid the foundation for Pune's 178 off their 20 overs."We still can take a few positives from the match despite the fact that it was the same old story with losing after being so close," Finch told the media after the game.Pune were floored by classy half centuries from Rahul Dravid and Ajinkya Rahane and Finch could not stop admiring Dravid's hunger for runs even a year after retiring from Test cricket."Dravid is a class batsman. With more than thirteen thousand Test runs under his belt, his class is undoubted. He has worked hard and brought in some changes in his batting and now he is comfortable in this format too."He has become a world class 20-20 batsman, which is an unbelievable achievement. As one of the best Test batsman he understands the game well. He got the job done like a surgeon," Finch said.Talking about the match, the Australian said, "Yes it was pretty close. We also played well and were there in whole of the match. In fact it was one of those rare days when both teams played exceedingly well.
